Start with the Kings County court source
The court publishes a foreclosure-sales page and property list. Start there, then match the advertised property to its filed notice and case. A published list is a starting point; it does not establish that a particular sale remains active.
Read the official Kings County foreclosure-sales page for the current list and instructions. Check the date printed on the list rather than relying on a saved screenshot or an old report.
Keep the identifiers together
Record Kings County Supreme Court, advertised sale date and year, case index, address and unit, and borough-block-lot (BBL). The case identifies the court action; the BBL identifies the tax parcel. Resolve any disagreement between them before commissioning property-specific research.
Connect the case to the property records
Review available filings in NYSCEF and recorded instruments in NYC ACRIS. Keep document dates and parcel identifiers with your notes. An older mortgage record or notice cannot by itself establish current title, balance or sale status.
Choose the right report
Order a $25 PRS for one identified property. Use a $150 FAR to compare an agreed roster for one auction. Supply the session or notice if the date alone is ambiguous.
Check the advertised date against the current list
The Kings County court page, checked October 5, 2026, states that foreclosure auctions are held on Thursdays in room 224 at 2:30 p.m. Use the next date and property list displayed on the official page, then confirm your sale. This guide is not a live calendar.
- Open the current property list from the court page and locate the case.
- Match its index number, property and advertised date to the filed notice.
- Review later case filings for a cancellation, postponement or stay.
- Resolve conflicting sale details with the referee or appropriate case representative before relying on them.
Do not treat the list as a guarantee
The court warns that listed properties may not sell, including because of judicial stays or agreements between the parties. Keep the time of your status check with your notes. Address suggestions in our order form confirm the street address, not that its auction will proceed.
Bring the question to the right research product
If you are comparing the advertised list, specify the intended roster in your FAR request. If one property interests you, use PRS with its exact case and date. Compare the report scopes before ordering.
